Mechanical Technician I – Food Production

About the role

Join MBRF, one of the world’s largest food companies, as a Mechanical Technician I. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment in a fast‑moving food production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns, including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance plans, record notifications (M1, M2, M3) in the PM system, and support continuous‑improvement projects with the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, GMP, 5S, food safety, and food‑defense procedures while handling chemical products safely.
• Analyze equipment anomalies, report hazards, and contribute to risk assessments and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in the Food/FMCG industry.
• Technical course (2 years) in Mechanical Trade or related field.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
• Basic knowledge of food technology, food safety standards, and SAP.

Required skills

• Mechanical controls, drives, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication systems.
• Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Use of analytical tools such as PDCA, RCA, and 5S.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.
