MEP Draughtsman – Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Draftsman

About the role

We are looking for a skilled MEP Draughtsman to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will produce accurate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings for building construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP shop, coordination, and as‑built drawings using AutoCAD.
• Produce drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire‑fighting, and ELV systems.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and civil disciplines to identify and resolve clashes.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, and design changes.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and document‑control procedures.
• Assist in material schedules, quantity take‑offs, and technical documentation.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide drafting support during project execution.
• Conduct site visits when required to verify installations and update as‑built drawings.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an MEP Draughtsman, preferably on residential, commercial, high‑rise, hospitality, healthcare or industrial projects.
• Experience in GCC/UAE projects is highly preferred.
• AutoCAD certification or equivalent drafting qualification is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, BIM software and AutoCAD MEP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and ELV systems.
• Knowledge of MEP coordination, clash detection and local authority approval processes.
