Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialist

About the role

The Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynecology will deliver high‑quality, ethical clinical care to women patients, manage clinical risks, ensure compliance with governance standards, and maintain accurate medical records while fostering continuous professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide surgical care in the operating room and outpatient department for both emergency and planned obstetric and gynecologic procedures.
• Manage the delivery suite: admit patients, review histories, plan care, perform spontaneous and operative deliveries, and coordinate with midwives.
• Respond promptly to emergency consultations and deliver outpatient clinic services as assigned.
• Perform and interpret ultrasound examinations and fetal heart‑rate monitoring, taking appropriate clinical actions.
• Maintain clinical governance, infection‑control standards, and quality‑assurance indicators, and participate in case reviews and committee meetings.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience at specialist level, including at least 1 year in a Tier‑1 country as defined by UAE regulators.
• Medical degree with recognized specialty qualification (fellowship/diploma) and registration with the UAE healthcare authority.
• Active life‑support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP) and eligibility for relevant professional board membership.
