Power Supply Project Manager

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced Power Supply Project Manager to lead the power supply systems for a high‑speed rail project in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee the full lifecycle from concept design through commissioning and handover, ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable power solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of traction, auxiliary, and emergency power systems for the rail project.
• Review and guide design solutions to meet UAE and international railway standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams.
• Evaluate feasibility studies, technical proposals, and tender documents, providing value‑engineering recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and railway best‑practice requirements.
• Prepare and control budgets, schedules, and risk registers for power‑supply sub‑projects.
• Develop and monitor QA/QC plans, testing and commissioning strategies, and HSE protocols.
• Produce regular progress reports, technical documentation, and presentations for senior management.
• Mentor junior engineers and support operational readiness and handover activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in design and management of railway power supply systems.
• Master’s degree or PMP certification is an advantage.
