QA/QC Engineer – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves implementing quality assurance and control procedures, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining high standards throughout construction and installation phases.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures in line with approved project specifications and quality plans.
• Conduct inspections of materials, equipment, fabrication, installation, and construction activities.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control Plans (QCPs), method statements, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with construction teams, clients, consultants, and third‑party inspectors.
• Identify quality deviations, issue and track NCRs, and verify corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain inspection reports, quality records, material certificates, test reports, and project documentation.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Support internal and external quality audits and contribute to project handover documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification (B.E./B.Tech or equivalent); postgraduate qualification or industry‑recognized quality certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in QA/QC within oil & gas, EPC, construction, fabrication, piping or mechanical projects (typical for this role).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• Ability to work onsite in Abu Dhabi and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
