Practical Nurse – OPD – Pediatric Clinic

About the role

The Practical Nurse will work in the Out‑Patient Department of a pediatric clinic, delivering patient‑centered care under the supervision of Registered Nurses. The role supports the clinic’s mission by providing safe, timely assistance with daily living activities, vital sign monitoring, and preparation for examinations and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and implement nursing care plans under RN supervision, ensuring a patient‑focused approach.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including meal distribution and hygiene support.
• Report any significant changes in patient condition promptly to the supervising RN.
• Respond to emergencies according to clinic policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate verbal and written communication and documentation, including electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver efficient, effective care.
• Support RNs and clerical staff with administrative duties as needed.
• Provide patients and families with comprehensive information and resources.
• Manage inventory of examination room supplies and ensure rooms are prepared for each patient.

Required profile

• Qualified Practical Nurse able to work under RN supervision.
• Commitment to the professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and promote professional interdisciplinary communication.
