Primary STEM Teacher - Immediate Start

About the role

GEMS International School, Dubai Hills is seeking an experienced Primary STEM Teacher to start immediately. The school is an authorised IB World School offering the full IB continuum and values innovation, collaboration and continuous growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry‑based STEM lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that meets diverse learning needs, including EAL, gifted and additional support students.
• Differentiate teaching strategies and integrate technology to enhance learning.
• Assess, record and communicate student progress, using data to inform personalised support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB‑aligned curriculum, resources and assessments.
• Contribute to co‑curricular activities, school events and community initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with parents and the wider school community.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and uphold GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile.

Required profile

• A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of solid experience teaching Primary STEM, preferably within an IB curriculum.
• Experience with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) is preferred.
• Passion for inspiring young learners through innovative, inquiry‑based teaching.
• Commitment to the school’s vision, energy, and educational philosophy.
• Desire to grow professionally and work collaboratively in a forward‑thinking environment.
