Principal Process Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Worley is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to provide technical assurance and compliance for process engineering work on a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that contractor deliverables meet the company’s specifications, codes, standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, review and approve process engineering procedures, plans and schedules.
• Coordinate the exchange of process documents between the Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) and contractors.
• Act as the single point of contact with licensors, contractors and the company for process design matters.
• Supervise and direct the IPMT process engineering team within the assigned scope.
• Verify technical integrity of deliverables against legislation, codes, standards and the Basis of Design.
• Attend internal and external project reviews, progress meetings and risk analysis sessions.
• Support contractors in interface management and ensure design work aligns with project specifications.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in process engineering within the energy, chemicals or resources sector.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage HSE performance and technical quality of contractor outputs.
• Excellent communication skills for liaison with licensors, contractors and internal teams.
