Principal Structural Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead civil and structural engineering activities on ADNOC offshore projects. The role covers the full project lifecycle from FEED through EPC, fabrication, construction, installation and commissioning, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with ADNOC and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist civil and structural engineering support across all project phases.
• Review and approve EPC contractor deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Validate structural analysis and design for offshore jackets, topsides, decks, bridges, modules, pipe racks and foundations.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, international codes and HSE regulations.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, constructability and model reviews.
• Assess structural loads, fatigue, foundation performance, transportation, lifting and installation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, piping, electrical, marine, geotechnical, construction).
• Support procurement through technical bid evaluation, vendor document review and material approval.
• Identify technical risks and propose practical, cost‑effective engineering solutions.
• Provide on‑site technical support during fabrication, offshore installation and commissioning.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Extensive experience in offshore structural engineering, preferably on ADNOC or similar oil‑and‑gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes and ADNOC specifications.
• Proven ability to review and approve EPC contractor deliverables.
• Excellent coordination skills with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
