Private Teacher – Child‑Led Learning Facilitator

About the role

We are looking for a warm, energetic and highly capable private teacher to guide our 9‑year‑old child through daily academic learning and real‑life applications. The role blends structured teaching with child‑led exploration, fostering both emotional intelligence and intellectual growth in a home environment that values independence and alternative education methods.

Key responsibilities

• Design and facilitate daily learning experiences based on the child’s interests and natural curiosity.
• Blend academic structure with exploratory, imaginative projects across numeracy, science, history, arts and nature.
• Foster emotional intelligence, creativity, critical thinking and independence through real‑world projects and sensory‑rich activities.
• Maintain a portfolio documenting learning progress using photos, notes and reflections.
• Provide a safe, nurturing and emotionally responsive learning environment and guide the child through moments of frustration.

Required profile

• Academic background in Primary Education.
• Proven experience with primary‑aged children in academic and project‑based settings.
• Knowledge or experience in unschooling, homeschooling or alternative education approaches.
• Emotionally attuned, patient and confident in supporting children’s emotional regulation.
• Fluent in English (Chinese or French a plus) and willing to be based in Dubai.
