Production Trainer

About the role

The Production Trainer will design, develop and deliver technical training programmes for Etihad’s Technical Division in Abu Dhabi. The role supports compliance with GCAA, EASA and international civil‑aviation regulations and ensures technicians, engineers and shift managers receive up‑to‑date classroom and on‑the‑job instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and update theory, practical and refresher courses covering aircraft systems, safety, human factors and technical procedures.
• Deliver training both in‑person and via Etihad’s online learning platforms to technicians, engineers, troubleshooters and team leaders.
• Conduct practical assessments, examinations and mentor junior technicians and trainee engineers.
• Maintain accurate training records and ensure all competencies meet regulatory standards.
• Generate examination questions, review course content and incorporate industry and regulatory updates.
• Collaborate with operations, quality assurance and safety teams to align training with organisational goals.
• Implement and advise on changes to training processes to uphold safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Valid GCAA licence and/or EASA Part‑66 / ICAO Type II certification.
• Experience in aviation technical training or maintenance environments.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, safety regulations and human‑factors considerations.
• Ability to develop training material for both classroom and e‑learning delivery.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
