Programme Management Officer – CMS Office (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The Programme Management Officer will lead the Raptors MoU Coordinating Unit within the CMS Office in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the CMS Executive Secretary and the Executive Coordinator, the incumbent will drive the implementation of the Raptors Memorandum of Understanding and support related conservation actions.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, manage and provide services to implement the Raptors MoU work programme.
• Support MoU processes, including coordination of the Technical Advisory Group.
• Develop and oversee national and regional conservation strategies.
• Implement the Vultures Multi‑species Action Plan and the Saker Falcon Global Action Plan.
• Address cross‑cutting issues such as illegal killing, trade, poisoning and electrocution.
• Supervise the Associate Programme Management Officer and collaborate with the Dugong MoU Coordinator.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme or project management, preferably in environmental or wildlife conservation.
• Knowledge of migratory species conservation frameworks and international agreements.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder processes and lead a small team.
• Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.
