Project Engineer - Gas Turbine & Air Filtration Systems

About the role

A client of Agile Consultants is looking for an experienced Project Engineer in Dubai to manage projects involving air intake and exhaust systems for gas turbines, compressors, diesel engines, air pollution control products and related industrial equipment. The engineer coordinates with internal teams and clients, oversees planning and execution, monitors schedules and costs, supports procurement and ensures quality, safety and customer requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Sales and Applications teams during project bidding and manage several projects at once
• Attend client meetings and act as the main link between customers and internal departments
• Maintain project schedules, control costs and prepare weekly and monthly status reports, plus completion certificates
• Support procurement: source suppliers, analyse quotations, create purchase orders, delivery notes, packing lists, shipping invoices and review vendor invoices
• Prepare drawings in AutoCAD, cost estimates, schedules, method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans and work packs
• Assist the Finance Department with receivables and project cost summaries for invoicing
• Supervise on-site erection and modification of gas turbine auxiliary equipment, assess labour and equipment needs and guide field service representatives
• Manage subcontractors, monitor health and safety documentation and carry out site safety inspections

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 5-8 years of project engineering experience managing multiple projects
• Experience coordinating with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, and with procurement and documentation
• Desired: AutoCAD, site supervision of gas turbine equipment, HSE knowledge and technical guidance experience
