Entertainment Stage Technician

About the role

Miral Experiences is looking for an Entertainment Stage Technician, the behind-the-scenes specialist who keeps live entertainment running smoothly. You will work with the production team on rehearsals and live shows, handling audio, lighting and visual equipment and supporting stage operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and tearing down audio, lighting and visual equipment, including soundboards, lighting consoles and special effects devices, during rehearsals and live performances.
• Work with stage managers and directors to ensure smooth scene transitions and set changes, and safely move props, scenery and equipment on and off stage.
• Help troubleshoot technical issues and follow cues and instructions accurately.
• Follow safety protocols and store equipment and props correctly.
• Track equipment and supply inventory, report shortages or damage, and help load and unload equipment for transport between venues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 1-2 years of experience in live event production.
• Good spoken and written English, with a clear understanding of stage directions.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift at least 25 kg; physically fit and able to handle heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Team player who can also work independently, able to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.

Required skills

• Computer skills.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (a plus).
• Advantageous: technical theater training, electronics or electrical certificate, and a background in theater or live events.
