Psychology Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are seeking a Psychology Teacher to cover a maternity leave at Bateen World Academy, starting January 2027. The role involves delivering psychology curriculum to GCSE and A‑Level students within a British and IB curriculum environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess psychology lessons, setting clear objectives and challenging tasks.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to health, safety and safeguarding policies.
• Use assessment data to inform planning and provide differentiated instruction.
• Record student progress, produce reports for parents and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a teaching qualification.
• Minimum two years’ experience teaching a specialist subject up to GCSE/A‑Level (desirable but not essential).
• Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Commitment to the well‑being of children and participation in extra‑curricular activities.
