QA/QC Manager – Civil Construction

About the role

The QA/QC Manager (Civil) will establish, implement and maintain the project quality management system for civil construction works, ensuring compliance with client requirements, contract specifications and applicable codes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan, ITPs, method statements and quality procedures in line with ISO 9001 and contract requirements.
• Lead the civil QA/QC team, overseeing inspection and testing of concrete, structural, earthworks, marine/coastal and finishing works.
• Manage material approvals, supplier and subcontractor quality compliance, and coordinate NCRs, audits, corrective actions and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with client, consultants and subcontractors on inspections, hold points and approvals, reporting quality KPIs to project management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 20 years QA/QC experience in civil construction, including 10 years in a management role.
• Proven experience on large‑scale projects in the UAE/GCC and knowledge of civil codes and standards (ACI, BS EN, ASTM).
• Willingness to work on an offshore/island site and complete required safety training.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
• Concrete mix design and testing, reinforcement, formwork, piling, earthworks compaction, waterproofing and protective coatings.
• Knowledge of ITPs, NCR management, audit processes and quality documentation systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems.
