Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

Proxym Middle East is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join its digital delivery team in Dubai Media City. The role focuses on designing test strategies, executing manual and automated tests, and ensuring software reliability for enterprise clients in banking and the public sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test scripts, edge‑case scenarios, and automated test suites.
• Establish QA inspection standards, defect‑management procedures, and testing workflows across project lifecycles.
• Perform API testing, mobile automation, and performance benchmarking using industry‑standard tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional development teams to debug, troubleshoot, and verify defect resolution.
• Audit software releases against user stories and contribute to continuous QA process optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on software testing experience in Agile environments.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification is mandatory.

Required skills

• Jira, TestRail or TFS for test management.
• Appium, Selenium or Cypress for automation.
• Java programming language.
• Postman for API testing.
• JMeter for performance testing.
• Agile methodology and test automation expertise.
