Data Analyst II

About the role

The Careem Analytics team builds and tracks a live picture of the business, delivering actionable insights and solving complex problems. As a core member you will work with top regional analysts, using modern analysis and visualization tools to address day‑to‑day challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide data‑driven insights to answer business questions for your squad.
• Create compelling presentations and dashboards that tell a story using Careem’s reporting tools.
• Continuously improve insights, presentations, and reporting solutions.
• Mentor junior data analysts and give actionable feedback.
• Develop trust‑based relationships with stakeholders and co‑create product and commercial roadmaps.
• Define key metrics, discover growth opportunities, and conduct A/B, F‑tests and other experiments.
• Collaborate with the DWH and Data Engineering teams on ETL pipelines and data accuracy.
• Apply advanced statistics and machine learning to improve CLTV, segmentation, and churn reduction.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in an analytical role.
• 5+ years creating management dashboards with BI tools.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional technical projects.
• Strong communication, organizational, and process‑orientation skills.
• Self‑starter comfortable in a complex operational environment.

Required skills

• SQL for large‑scale data querying.
• Tableau, MicroStrategy or Looker for data visualization.
• Python, R, Spark and Hive for data analysis.
• ETL concepts and experience.
• Working knowledge of dimensional data models and data lakes.
