Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure

About the role

Khatib & Alami is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its Consultancy Supervision Team in Dubai. The role involves managing commercial aspects of major infrastructure projects, including cost control, contract administration, valuations and variations.

Key responsibilities

• Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation.
• Perform detailed measurement and verification of quantities for infrastructure works.
• Review contractor interim payment applications and prepare payment certificates.
• Evaluate variations, change orders, claims, and additional works.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and financial progress.
• Assist with cost forecasting and monthly commercial reporting.
• Review and assess contractor claims in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, variations, payments, and commercial correspondence.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of final accounts.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to the Project Manager and wider supervision team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 10 years of overall experience in Quantity Surveying, with at least 7 years on UAE infrastructure projects.
• Consultancy experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying/commercial software.
