Regional Finance Controller – MEAP

About the role

The Regional Finance Controller for the MEAP region (Middle East, Africa & Pakistan) will lead financial planning, analysis and control activities across multiple affiliates. Reporting to the EMEA Finance Director, the role partners closely with area leadership to drive business performance and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the MEAP financial planning and analysis strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Monitor performance against financial plans and budgets, communicating risks and opportunities to area leadership.
• Provide decision‑support analysis for strategic initiatives and investment proposals.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, monthly and quarterly close processes for all MEAP affiliates.
• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with local regulations and Abbott audit requirements.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase productivity.
• Oversee talent acquisition and development for the regional finance team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance leadership within a multinational environment.
• Proven track record of managing budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for multiple countries.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence strategic decisions.
