Registered Nurse – Labour & Delivery

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Labour & Delivery department at Danat Al Emarat, a leading women’s and children’s hospital in Abu Dhabi. The nurse will provide compassionate, patient‑centered care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist physicians and midwives during labour, delivery and emergency procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids and pain management as prescribed.
• Provide emotional support and education to mothers and families during labour and postpartum.
• Prepare and maintain delivery rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterile and ready.
• Document patient care, labour progress and clinical findings accurately.
• Support immediate newborn care, including resuscitation when needed.
• Promote mother‑newborn bonding and breastfeeding in line with BFHI principles.
• Maintain infection control and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum five years of experience in labour and delivery.
• Valid Department of Health (DOH) nursing licence.
