Senior Clinical Quality & Patient Safety Officer

About the role

The Senior Clinical Quality & Patient Safety Officer will support SEHA’s Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Section to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety across the organization. This senior position leads the development and implementation of a strategic plan aligned with corporate priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate comprehensive Clinical Quality and Patient Safety programs.
• Lead the creation and execution of a Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Strategic Plan.
• Organize regional taskforces to drive quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Support the Chair of the Quality Committee in promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures aligned with quality priorities.
• Identify quality and safety issues, recommend corrective actions, and monitor implementation.
• Research emerging trends and methodologies in clinical quality and safety.
• Design and maintain measurement frameworks, KPIs, and benchmarking against internal and external standards (e.g., Joint Commission, DoH Muashir, Daman EBRP).
• Collaborate with committees and experts to address priority areas and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in clinical quality improvement and patient safety.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic quality plans.
• Strong coordination skills for multi‑disciplinary taskforces and committees.
• Familiarity with national and international quality standards and accreditation bodies.
