Restaurant Manager

About the role

A client of the recruiter is a unique restaurant in Abu Dhabi hiring an experienced Restaurant Manager. The role covers front-of-house service, coordination with the kitchen, staff training and daily operational control.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team by setting an example in service, products and guidance that reflects the restaurant concept
• Coordinate between beverage and kitchen to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Handle guests, recommend food and beverage items, take orders and process and present guest bills
• Communicate comments, complaints and suggestions about operations to the owners
• Keep equipment clean and in good maintenance condition
• Use guest feedback to improve service and maintain a guest history file
• Close all bills at the end of the day and ensure each cash-up is complete
• Conduct a monthly inventory of operating supplies and equipment with the restaurant team
• Train and develop all employees
• Ensure compliance with local food safety and sanitation regulations

Required profile

• Degree in hospitality management or a relevant field
• Prior experience in upscale casual dining concepts in the UAE is a must
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lead large groups of people
