Restaurant Receptionist (Hostess) – Josephine Outlet

About the role

As the first point of contact for guests at Josephine, a waterfront Mediterranean restaurant in Dubai, you will create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment a reservation is made until the guest departs. The role combines front‑of‑house hospitality with precise reservation management to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly, recognise returning guests, VIPs and special occasions.
• Manage reservations, enquiries, confirmations and special requests via telephone, email and online channels.
• Maintain an organised seating plan that maximises capacity while preserving guest experience.
• Coordinate with restaurant management and service team on table availability and guest preferences.
• Handle waiting guests during peak periods, providing realistic updates on wait times.
• Update guest profiles, preferences and reservation notes in the restaurant reservation system.
• Provide accurate information on menus, operating hours, dress code, events and other restaurant services.
• Escort guests to their tables and ensure a smooth handover to the service team.
• Support guest‑relationship initiatives and keep the reception area immaculate.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional handling of telephone, email and online enquiries.
