Senior Accountant – Compliance & Accounts Receivable (Catering)

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the accounts receivable function for a catering business, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and full compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices according to contractual terms.
• Record, reconcile and monitor customer payments and balances.
• Produce monthly aging and collection status reports.
• Investigate billing discrepancies, resolve disputes and process credit/debit notes.
• Reconcile receivable accounts with the general ledger and support month‑end close.
• Maintain documentation for revenue recognition under IFRS 15 and lease billing under IFRS 16.
• Ensure VAT‑compliant invoicing, credit notes and support FTA reporting.
• Assist with corporate tax documentation and bad‑debt provisions.
• Support internal and external audits with accurate records.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Knowledge of UAE tax regulations and IFRS standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Tally‑Prime.
