Senior Accountant – Full Cycle & IFRS Expertise (UAE)

About the role

Our client, a leading hard‑commodity company in Abu Dhabi, is looking for an experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle under both IFRS and UAE regulations. The role demands a hands‑on professional who can drive accurate financial reporting and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, provisions and month‑end closing.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Conduct cash‑flow management, budgeting and forecasting to aid business operations.
• Supervise internal and external audits, liaise with auditors, banks and regulatory bodies.
• Implement and enhance internal controls, policies and financial procedures.
• Provide financial analysis and reports for senior management strategic planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in the hard‑commodity sector.
• Fluency in English and Russian (spoken and written).
• Proactive, problem‑solving mindset with a hands‑on approach.
