Senior Accountant – GBS Controlling (Corporate Services)

About the role

The Senior Accountant will manage the financial controlling function across the UAE, Qatar and Oman. The role involves close collaboration with business units, GBS, group entities and external partners to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, compliance and audit activities. Proficiency in SAP and Navision is essential for timely and precise financial processing.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Cash Office team on cash collection summary statements for stores, central units and restaurants.
• Resolve system issues with support from the IKEA IT team and monitor cash collection reconciliation reports.
• Reconcile collection summaries in Navision at month‑end and share entries with R2R and O2C teams for posting.
• Follow up on sales reconciliations between stores and central units, manage variances and resolve differences with the IT team.
• Perform daily reconciliation of e‑commerce debtors, receipts, sales, deferred sales, tax and deferred tax accounts.
• Manage cash‑on‑delivery reconciliations, including COD debtors, sales, tax and deferred sales.
• Coordinate with service providers to reconcile cash collection reports with sales and delivery data.
• Ensure reconciliation and clearing of receipts for transactions via Safex, EPG, Apple Pay, Tabby, Tamara and Samsung Pay.

Required profile

• At least 36 months of relevant accounting or controlling experience.
• Experience working across multiple countries in the Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Oman).
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
