Senior Accountant

About the role

As a Senior Accountant at Sulzer in Dubai, you will join a global engineering leader to ensure accurate accounting operations and support strategic financial decisions. You will work closely with the Finance Shared Services, Reporting & Analytics, and Country Finance teams to deliver high‑quality financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Support period‑end close, including reconciliation of accounts receivable/payable sub‑ledgers with the general ledger.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes, prepare journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare timely financial statements – income statement, balance sheet and cash‑flow statement.
• Assist with coding of non‑PO invoices and manage fixed‑asset accounting activities.
• Collaborate with Reporting & Analytics to analyse financial data, identify trends and provide insights for business decisions.
• Coordinate with other departments and Finance Shared Services to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting, providing financial inputs and projections.
• Liaise with tax professionals to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
• Monitor KPIs, drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and maintain internal controls.
• Support internal and external auditors, ensuring audit completion with minimal adjustments.

Required profile

• Experienced accounting professional capable of working independently under general supervision.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Proactive attitude towards process improvement and compliance.
