Senior Accountant – Retail & Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong hands‑on expertise in retail and manufacturing accounting to join our Finance team in Dubai. The role involves overseeing accounting operations across retail branches, warehouses and production facilities, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review accounting operations across retail branches, warehouses, and manufacturing activities.
• Monitor inventory movements, stock valuation, reconciliations, physical counts, adjustments, variances and shrinkage.
• Review manufacturing accounting including raw materials, work‑in‑progress, finished goods, wastage and product costing.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and ensure accurate allocation of production expenses.
• Review retail branch sales, cash collections, card settlements, expenses and petty cash.
• Coordinate with warehouses, manufacturing, purchasing, retail operations and finance teams to ensure accurate records.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes of stock variances.
• Review purchase transactions and ensure proper matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, supplier invoices and payments.
• Handle General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Prepare and review profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and budget‑versus‑actual analysis.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and statutory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
• Identify accounting and internal control weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Support automation of accounting, inventory and reporting processes through the ERP system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail and manufacturing environments.
