Senior AI/ML Sales Specialist – Generative AI (SSA AGS Team)

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Senior AI/ML Sales Specialist to drive Generative AI adoption across Sub‑Saharan Africa. The role combines deep technical AI knowledge with a consultative, outcome‑focused sales approach to help customers translate AI capabilities into business value.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify high‑value AI opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Engage customers to understand their business goals and map them to AWS Generative AI solutions.
• Build and manage a sustainable pipeline of AI deals, from lead generation to revenue realization.
• Provide technical guidance and act as a trusted advisor throughout the AI adoption journey.
• Collaborate with internal AWS teams to develop tailored AI use‑cases for sectors such as finance, mining, telecom, energy, retail and the public sector.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience selling technology solutions, preferably in AI/ML or cloud services.
• Strong technical understanding of Generative AI, large language models and related cloud offerings.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in emerging markets and navigating multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Result‑oriented, customer‑centric mindset with a consultative selling style.
