Senior Associate - Satellite Operations

About the role

EDGE is looking for a Senior Associate to join its satellite operations team. The role supports commanding, controlling and health monitoring of satellites on orbit, providing hands‑on experience for recent graduates eager to build a career in space operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute mission plans, monitor satellite health during routine and critical phases, and conduct daily pass operations.
• Prepare pre‑pass activities, perform real‑time monitoring, and generate post‑pass reports and logs.
• Collaborate with the ground‑segment team on pass scheduling, data acquisition verification and mission planning inputs.
• Maintain operations logs, shift handover records, anomaly reports and configuration documentation.
• Assist senior engineers with anomaly investigations, trend analysis and telemetry review, and participate in readiness campaigns and on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience; internships, university satellite projects or CubeSat programmes are advantageous.
• Exposure to real‑time operations or control‑room environments and familiarity with mission‑control concepts such as telemetry monitoring, command execution and mission planning.
• Willingness to travel internationally for ground‑station visits and training.
