Senior Butler

About the role

Jumeirah Hotel Group is hiring a Senior Butler in Dubai. The role delivers discreet, anticipatory service to VIP guests and principals, supervises the daily operations of a residence, suite or assigned service area, and leads and trains junior butlers, valets and household staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, discreet and anticipatory service to VIP guests and principals, understanding their preferences, routines and special requests, and ensuring seamless experiences through personalized greetings, room arrangements and service rituals.
• Supervise daily operations of the residence, suite or assigned service area, overseeing cleanliness, presentation and readiness of guest and common areas.
• Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance and kitchen staff to coordinate service flow.
• Lead and train junior butlers, valets and household staff on service standards, etiquette and protocols; schedule, delegate tasks and monitor staff performance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal training from a recognized hospitality, butler or household management school is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role in luxury hotels, private estates or royal/VIP households, with a proven track record of managing high-profile guests and bespoke service.
• Experience supervising household or service teams and coordinating across departments.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of formal service styles: silver service, butler service, wine pairing, fine dining setup and protocol.
• Excellent organization and multitasking ability with attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of wardrobe management, garment care and valet services.

What we offer

• Salary of 3,200 AED plus service charge and tips (service charge applies from the second month, typically 1,500-2,500 AED per month).
• Two-year employment contract.

• Fluent speakers of Spanish, French, Arabic, Italian, Mandarin or Russian get an extra 300 AED per month.
