Senior Charge Nurse / Unit Manager – NICU Wing (Tower A‑Ground)

About the role

The Senior Charge Nurse / Unit Manager will lead the NICU wing on Tower A‑Ground, ensuring 24/7 high‑quality patient care in line with SSMC’s vision, mission and values. Reporting to the nursing executive, you will oversee operational, fiscal and personnel activities for the unit and drive strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate daily nursing operations, ensuring safe and compassionate care around the clock.
• Manage the unit’s budget and allocate resources efficiently.
• Collaborate with senior nursing leadership, medical teams and operational partners to maintain smooth unit functioning.
• Collect and analyse data on unit performance, identify trends, and develop improvement strategies.
• Promote health promotion, education and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide consultation and mentorship to staff, fostering shared decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with nursing administration standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of nursing experience, including leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources.
• Strong analytical skills for data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
