About the role

The Senior Charge Nurse Unit Manager leads the NICU wing on Tower A‑Ground, ensuring 24/7 delivery of safe, compassionate, and high‑quality patient care. Reporting to senior hospital leadership, the role aligns daily operations with SSMC’s vision, mission, and nursing values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate operational, fiscal and personnel activities for the assigned NICU unit.
• Maintain continuous, high‑quality patient care across all shifts, seven days a week.
• Contribute to strategic planning and help achieve organizational goals.
• Manage the unit’s budget and allocate resources efficiently.
• Promote shared decision‑making and collaborative practice among nursing staff.
• Work closely with dyad and triad partners from operations and the medical team to ensure smooth unit functioning.

Required profile

• Accountable for implementing SSMC’s nursing vision, mission and values.
• Responsible for one or more patient‑care units based on complexity and size.
• Oversee the total work‑unit budget and resource allocation.

Required skills

• Leadership and unit management experience in a clinical setting.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage budgets.
