Senior Instrument & Control Engineer

About the role

The Senior Instrument & Control Engineer will lead technical expertise for all instrumentation and control engineering matters across ADNOC projects. The role involves coordinating with multiple technical departments, business units, operations, and external consultants to ensure high‑quality design execution and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on all Instrument and Control engineering subjects.
• Coordinate and interface with technical departments, business units, operations, and contractors/consultants to resolve issues.
• Prepare scope of work for external consultants and EPC contractors.
• Review design studies and ensure compliance with technical requirements and standards.
• Approve drawings, specifications, and technical documents for Instrumentation and Controls design.
• Perform calculations for design validation and optimisation.
• Apply state‑of‑the‑art technology for cost‑effective solutions.
• Update engineering procedures, company standards, technical specifications, design philosophies, and guidelines.
• Provide technical assistance and liaison with other discipline engineers.
• Act as in‑house technical authority for problem solving and vendor deviation reviews.
• Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineering professional with extensive experience in instrumentation and control.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and engineering best practices.
• Proven ability to lead technical reviews and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Abu Dhabi.
