Senior Manager, Corporate Credit

About the role

A well-established UAE-based financial institution, represented by Aventus Global, is looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Credit. The bank has a strong presence in corporate and commercial banking, is known for its disciplined credit culture, robust risk governance and strong regulatory standards, and is growing its wholesale lending portfolio across key sectors in the UAE and wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the credit assessment and underwriting of wholesale lending transactions for corporate and commercial banking clients
• Review and analyse complex credit proposals, including financial analysis, cash flow modelling and industry risk assessment
• Provide independent credit recommendations aligned with the bank's risk appetite and credit policies
• Oversee end-to-end credit approval processes, including structuring, documentation review and covenant analysis
• Monitor existing wholesale credit exposures and identify emerging risks or early warning indicators
• Work closely with Relationship Management, Risk and Credit Committees to support sound lending decisions and portfolio quality

Required profile

• 7-10+ years of experience in wholesale credit, corporate banking or credit risk within banking or financial services
• Proven experience assessing large corporate and/or SME lending transactions
• Experience working within credit approval processes and presenting to credit committees
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and front-office teams
