Senior Maximo SME Technical Functional Application Developer

About the role

This remote contract position is for a senior specialist who will lead the technical and functional configuration of IBM Maximo within a major asset‑management transformation. The role supports the upgrade to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8 and ensures the solution aligns with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical‑functional subject matter expert for IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management.
• Configure, customize and enhance Maximo applications to meet business requirements.
• Support the migration and upgrade to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8, ensuring stability and performance.
• Analyze and resolve technical and functional issues, providing root‑cause analysis and solutions.
• Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and recommend best‑practice approaches.
• Translate business needs into application designs, configurations, and technical solutions.
• Develop integrations using the Maximo Integration Framework, Java, and BIRT reporting.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of system changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of hands‑on experience with IBM Maximo.
• Proven experience in both functional analysis and technical development.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
