Senior Murex Developer – Global Markets Risk

About the role

Synechron is seeking an experienced Murex Developer to join its Global Markets Risk Service team in Abu Dhabi. The senior engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and supporting risk‑management solutions that meet regulatory and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Risk Service Lead and stakeholders to implement and support Murex‑based risk solutions across Global Markets.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve issues and change requests related to risk systems, ensuring timely delivery.
• Contribute to a multi‑year roadmap for risk‑technology enhancements and automation initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with regulations such as EMIR, SA‑CCR and FRTB, and support KPI monitoring and improvement.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience developing and supporting risk systems in a large financial institution.
• Strong understanding of Global Markets products, credit exposures, VaR, SIMM and FRTB.
• Post‑graduate degree or equivalent qualification in Information Systems, Engineering or Business Administration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence decisions.
