Senior Officer, Strategic Sourcing

About the role

ADNOC is looking for a Senior Officer, Strategic Sourcing in Abu Dhabi. The role covers day-to-day category management for strategic, high-value and business-critical categories across the ADNOC Group, building a culture of end-to-end category management, strategic sourcing and procurement excellence. It involves creating and coordinating cross-functional teams of 10 to 30 people drawn from Group companies, applying category management procedures to build and run category strategies, and using internal analysis and market intelligence to reduce total spend and manage supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full tender cycle for strategic categories, including preparing Requests for Tenders, acting as focal point between users, bidders and the Category team, running technical and commercial evaluations, negotiating and recommending awards, and issuing Framework Agreements and Work Orders.
• Set up Integrated Category Management Teams and develop Category Strategies that generate value and savings, covering spend analysis, demand forecasting, inventory analysis and sector strategies.
• Lead product segmentation, simplification and standardisation of technical specifications, and use tools such as Kraljic matrix, Porter's Five Forces and Purchasing Chessboard.
• Define evaluation criteria based on Total Cost of Ownership and ICV, and set supplier performance KPIs in contract terms.
• Run pre-tender activities such as EOI and prequalification exercises in Ariba, and prepare draft Framework Agreements with annexures.
• Monitor supplier performance during execution and coordinate improvements.
• Support planning, scope of work and fee schedules, and contribute to combined category management plans.
