Senior Pediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant – Government Hospital

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant in Pediatric Emergency Medicine to join a leading government healthcare facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering high‑quality emergency care to infants, children, and adolescents while providing clinical leadership and supporting multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, stabilize and manage pediatric emergency cases, including critically ill and trauma patients.
• Lead resuscitation efforts and perform emergency procedures for unstable children.
• Ensure patient safety, quality of care, and adherence to clinical governance standards.
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, pediatrics, surgery, anesthesia, intensive care and other specialties.
• Supervise, mentor and train junior physicians, residents, fellows and allied health staff.
• Participate in teaching, continuing medical education, clinical audits and quality‑improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD/MBBS) from an accredited institution.
• American Board Certification in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Emergency Medicine (or equivalent).
• Completed accredited residency/fellowship in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑specialty consultant‑level clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary or teaching hospital.
• Current certification in PALS and BLS.
• Strong leadership, communication and clinical decision‑making abilities.
