Senior Specialist - Risk Management

About the role

Deriv is looking for a senior specialist to own and enhance its risk‑management systems. This individual contributor will lead through analysis and judgement, fixing gaps in existing models and building robust, automated solutions that protect the business in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain risk‑assessment frameworks that evaluate exposure across trading operations.
• Develop and execute stress‑testing scenarios that reveal true resilience limits.
• Guide AI‑assisted monitoring tools, correcting model outputs when they miss or over‑flag risks.
• Collaborate with fraud‑detection, AML and vendor‑risk teams to integrate continuous‑run models into production.
• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of risk models, from detection of failures to implementation of fixes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk modelling, stress testing or related quantitative finance roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose why a model missed a risk event.
• Comfort working independently and influencing broader risk functions.
