Senior Staff Nurse Tissue And Organ Donation

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in Dubai is looking for an experienced Senior Staff Nurse to lead clinical activities related to tissue and organ donation. You will provide senior‑level nursing care, coordinate donor management, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and ethical donation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver senior‑level nursing care to potential and confirmed organ and tissue donors.
• Identify, refer, and assess potential donors in collaboration with physicians and transplant teams.
• Coordinate donor care activities across intensive care, emergency, operating theatre, laboratory and transplant departments.
• Monitor donor clinical status and support appropriate management and retrieval procedures.
• Provide education and emotional support to donor families throughout the donation process.
• Maintain accurate documentation of donor assessments, interventions and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with organ and tissue donation policies and contribute to protocol development.
• Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in education, audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid professional nursing registration/license meeting Dubai health authority requirements.
• Significant clinical nursing experience, preferably in organ donation, transplantation, critical care, ICU or emergency care.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex patient‑care activities and support families in sensitive situations.
• Strong communication, leadership and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
