Senior Strategic Buyer – Strategic Procurement

About the role

The Senior Strategic Buyer will lead the management of key accounts within Strategic Procurement, acting as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders. This role is responsible for developing category strategies, driving cost optimisation, and supporting new product development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key accounts and supplier relationships for assigned categories.
• Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost‑saving targets.
• Oversee bill‑of‑materials (BOM) cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain legal contract tracker and ensure compliance.
• Forecast demand and coordinate purchasing activities.
• Collaborate with internal NIMR stakeholders and external partners.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers.
• Support new category and product development within the Strategic Sourcing team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proven experience in strategic procurement or category management.
