Senior Technical Program Manager – Supply Chain Automation

About the role

Amazon is looking for a senior technical program manager to lead automation and AI initiatives within the AMET supply chain team in Dubai. The role combines deep supply‑chain knowledge with expertise in AWS services to design, build, and scale innovative solutions that improve efficiency and reduce cost.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy aligned with Amazon’s supply‑chain goals, focusing on AWS and SCOT‑based solutions.
• Lead end‑to‑end automation projects, managing timelines, budgets, resources, and risk throughout the lifecycle.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend AWS technologies such as SageMaker, Comprehend, Rekognition, Lambda, S3, and EC2.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to design functional requirements and integrate new systems into the AWS ecosystem.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, communicate progress, and ensure alignment on objectives.
• Mentor senior supply‑chain leaders on AWS and SCOT capabilities, fostering technical growth.
• Monitor solution performance, drive continuous improvement, and leverage analytics tools for optimization.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality automation equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in supply‑chain operations with a focus on automation and AI.
• Proven track record leading complex automation projects and delivering measurable results.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain processes (planning, warehousing, transportation, fulfillment).
• Hands‑on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and AI/ML services.
• Excellent project‑management, communication, and leadership skills.
