Senior Vice President, Syndications & Distribution

About the role

The Senior Vice President, Syndications & Distribution will lead the origination, structuring, distribution and execution of strategic financing opportunities for Emirates Development Bank. The role is responsible for building partnerships with local and international financial institutions, DFIs, ECAs and corporates while driving the bank’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end corporate origination and loan distribution for Project Finance, Structured Finance and Trade Finance transactions.
• Drive primary syndication, secondary trading and expand the investor base across the UAE and the wider region.
• Generate funded assets through direct origination, primary syndication participation, secondary‑market acquisitions and trade working‑capital transactions.
• Maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, arrangers and loan traders to understand sector appetite and credit parameters.
• Conduct credit analysis, financial modelling and transaction assessment to evaluate obligor quality and portfolio fit.
• Lead primary loan syndications, manage book‑building, allocation and execution, and oversee secondary‑market loan acquisitions.
• Ensure compliance with AML, sanctions, regulatory, credit and risk‑management requirements.

Required profile

• Proven track record in corporate origination, loan syndication and structured finance.
• Strong knowledge of LMA‑standard documentation and syndicated loan‑market practices.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships with local, regional and international financial partners.
