Site Inspector / Architect – Senior Architect (Expression of Interest)

About the role

GHD is seeking experienced professionals to join its Middle East team as Site Inspectors, Architects, and Senior Architects. The role involves overseeing architectural works on site, ensuring compliance with contract documents, and supporting the Resident Engineer in contractual duties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coordination with other engineering and design disciplines.
• Assist the Resident Engineer with on‑site contractual responsibilities.
• Process contract documents and support contract administration.
• Develop, modify, and review production drawings and construction documents.
• Provide technical resolutions and advise the Project Manager on architectural matters affecting progress and quality.
• Monitor interior architectural works for conformance with specifications and procedures.
• Review, process, and comment on shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and material proposals.
• Oversee procurement and delivery schedules to support construction activities.
• Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to approved drawings, specifications, health & safety standards, and schedule.
• Lead snagging and de‑snagging processes to drive works to completion.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in site inspection, architectural coordination, or senior architectural roles.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, shop drawing review, and technical submittal processes.
• Ability to work closely with project managers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Review and approval of architectural shop drawings and submittals.
• Preparation and response to RFIs related to interior and architectural works.
• Assessment of contractor material proposals against technical performance requirements.
• Monitoring of procurement and delivery timelines.
• Conducting on‑site inspections and snagging activities.
