Software Engineer – AI Training (Remote Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to help train AI systems that generate code. You will write, debug, and evaluate AI‑produced solutions, providing detailed feedback that makes coding assistants smarter and safer. This is a fully remote, flexible contract position.

Key responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimise code across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Review AI‑generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability and best practices.
• Identify bugs, security issues and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured feedback explaining why code works—or doesn’t.
• Design challenging prompts and edge‑case scenarios to stress‑test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI‑generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently on an asynchronous schedule.

Required profile

• Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving instincts and systematic debugging approach.
• Clear written communication skills for explaining technical decisions.
• Self‑motivated and reliable when working without supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
