Solar Engineering Consultant Lead

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Solar Engineering Consultant Lead to head Solar Technical Advisory and Independent Engineering activities across the Middle East and Caspian Sea region. Based in Dubai, you will guide clients through every phase of solar projects, from resource assessment to construction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct solar energy resource assessments and energy yield modeling.
• Evaluate and review solar PV system designs, technical specifications, and commercial contracts.
• Provide independent engineering advice and ensure compliance with regional regulations, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate subject‑matter experts to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
• Travel to solar sites and conferences as needed (up to 25% of time).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the solar sector.
• At least 6 years of experience in power‑sector development, construction, or operations.
• Proven ability to interpret technical specifications, warranties, and commercial contract requirements.
• Experience working in the Middle East or Caspian Sea region.
