Sous Chef – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will help deliver exceptional guest experiences by ensuring high‑quality food preparation, presentation, and consistent service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the main/outlet kitchen in preparing and presenting all menu items according to hotel SOPs and standardized recipes.
• Monitor production standards to maintain the highest level of quality and consistency.
• Control food cost by overseeing portion control, waste management, and inventory.
• Contribute to concept development and menu creation for special events and functions.
• Implement HACCP and local hygiene standards at all times.
• Conduct regular on‑the‑job training sessions for culinary staff and promote health & safety practices.

Required profile

• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course completed.
• At least three years of experience in quality establishments.
• Strong culinary skills with a proven track record in food preparation, presentation, and preservation.
• Excellent communication in English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Leadership style that is firm, fair, and effective.
