About the role
The Sous Chef (Arabic) will oversee kitchen operations at Marriott Al Forsan, ensuring high‑quality food presentation and supporting the service team with menu specials and substitutions.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen staff.
- Determine food presentation, portioning, garnish and create decorative displays.
- Monitor food preparation quantities and inform service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
- Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
- Maintain kitchen logs, stock supplies and uphold food safety standards.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
- 4‑6 years of related culinary experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lb.
Required skills
- Food preparation and plating techniques.
- Kitchen inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety programs.
